These are incredibly useful. I use them to attach various toys to my baby's swing, carseat, etc. I use them in temple attached to a toy so that when he drops it, the toy doesn't fall to the floor and I just reel it back in. He even loves the rings without any other toys, and will endlessly chew on them.

That said, I bought this exact same product in my local Target for $4.99. Not on sale either.

Update: When I wrote this review these were selling on amazon for more than $15! It seems the price here has become more reasonable.

I got these for my son when he was 4 months old and it was instantly his favorite toy. It was the only toy that his weak and uncoordinated grasp could master and I particularly love the padded links because they were gentler on his gums. At 6 months they still remained a favorite because they were the perfect teething toy. I highly recommend this product. You can get it much cheaper at your local Target or Walmart, though. They're also great for attaching toys to the stroller, car seat, etc. so they can be used on a regular basis even after your child is no longer interested in playing with them.

I like the links, but when my package came, it is different from the picture. Mine doesnt have the last row of links shown on the picture( the one with different texture, kind of rubbery ) , I got all in the hard plastic material. I like the vivid color , but disappointed with not having different texture. It's so much work to exchange it. so give it a 2.

My 4 month old really enjoys playing with this however, we've been to replace the bird twice in 3 months because it will stop playing music.

My husband and I just bought this for our four month old daughter. She loves this activity gym. She doesn't like her swing anymore and she only wants to be in her bouncer for a few minutes at a time. We have the bright starts tummy time activity mat but she got really bored on it, so we deicided to purchase this item. Since we set it up she has been such a happy camper! She loves staring at herself in the mirror and the little bird hanging down from the middle is her favorite toy and she is always holding on to it. The only downfall to this product is the birds battery does not work so we have not heard the music play. We called customer service and they happily sent us a replacement that we should be receiving any day now. The mat has a one year warranty as long as you keep the original receipt, so if anything becomes broken you can call them and they will replace it. I think this is a great product for a great price.

My four month old loves this play gym. The mat is very soft and silky. I love the colors. The bird plays several catchy little tunes. I looked at several other gyms before getting this one. I am very happy with it and would recommend getting this one.

Got this for our 2 week old daughter. So far we are very pleased with it. We own alot of Bright Starts items and love the quality. This uses 4 c batteries. Has a timer for 15-30-45 minutes if you want to use this feature. We usually just leave it on without using the timer. Very easy to put together. Does not seem to go through batteries alot. We give this 5/5 stars you will be pleased.

This swing is pretty good so far. My 3 month old, who is pretty big (90th percentile) fits in the swing perfectly. Not sure how much longer it will last though, if she grows any more, her feet will dangle over the edge! I would recommend this swing for newborn - 4 months old. It is super quiet (we used to have a Graco, and that one was LOUD), and the settings are very easy to use. It wasn't bad to assemble either (I did it all by myself...no hubby around!) you just need a screwdriver. I have the Pink Pastel one, and I love the colors and design. It is also very soft and comfy for the baby. My little one also loves the toy bar, and I love that it is so flexible so I can take her in and out of the swing easily. The only reason I didn't give this swing 5 stars is because the recline options don't seem very safe. Every time I put the swing in the upright position, it seems to fall back in the recline position. It scares me, but the baby is always fine, just jolted a little. But other than... Read more

I am a mom of two and have owned several baby swings. My kids needed the swings to get them to sleep when they were infants - if you have a bad back and can't rock your child, then a swing is what you need! If you are looking for portability then this is a great swing, but keep in mind that NO travel swing will be as powerful as a full-size model. We have the full size Fisher Price papasan and the ocean wonders swings, and they were amazing and plenty powerful - colicky babies prefer vigorous swinging to soft rocking. Yes, they eat through batteries, but who cares when your child will sleep 4 hours in the swing as opposed to 1 hour in the crib! But I digress...As for this travel swing:
Pros:
Much more portable than a full size swing
More portable than the fisher price travel swing (I had the ocean wonders model)
Folds pretty flat for travel
No noise at all (the full-size models always click when swinging)
